CFAA Upcoming Event: CFA Exam Preparation Panel Discussion 4/21/2016 (Free to the Public)

Event Description:

Are you thinking about taking CFA exam? Are you sitting for the exam this June? Whether you just embarked on your plan for joining the program or you are already preparing for the exam, we understand that you may have many concerns about the CFA exam and about which direction your career will go in after you join the program. On April 21, three CFA charter holders will be right there with you to share their own experience and answer any of your questions about the program and the exam.

We encourage you to join us on this informative panel discussion oriented around exam preparing experience, day of exam strategies and post-exam career possibilities. We will support you every step of the way to a fruitful study plan and a fulfilling career path.

Panelists:

Neno Nenov, CFA, FRM

Neno Nenov joined Northern trust in October of last year as an investment risk consultant. He is a Financial Risk Manager and a CFA charter holder. Neno started his career as a risk analyst at AlphaMetrix where he would monitor and create risk reports for various systematic and discretionary, hedge funds and commodity trading advisers. He later worked at Duff & Phelps investment management helping investment teams to launch new close end funds mainly in the Utilities and Infrastructure sectors. Neno most recently worked for 3 years at Guggenheim partners where he was responsible to provide portfolio managers with equity and fixed income attribution analysis for various asset classes including high yield and bank loan investments

Sabrina Xing Su, CFA

Xing (Sabrina) Su, CFA is an MBA student at University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She received her CFA charter in 2012. Most recently, Sabrina worked as an associate portfolio manager at Dimensional Fund Advisors (DFA); she conducted empirical studies and devised a new investment strategy governing IPO stocks. Before joining DFA in 2014, Sabrina worked at Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) in Equity Derivatives. She was responsible for launching new derivative products, devising risk solutions for clients, and managing revenue growth strategies, and was heavily involved in business development in China. She started her career as a research analyst with CME Research Department in 2009 and published 9 white papers on derivative investing and risk management. Sabrina received her double-undergraduate degree from Nanjing University in China and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. She also holds a Master of Computational Finance with Distinction from DePaul University.

Kristan M. Rowland, CFA

Kristan Rowland, CFA is a member of the global research team on the buy-side at William Blair & Company and currently covers the Financials sector. Most recently, Kristan worked in private wealth at William Blair. Prior to joining William Blair in 2011, she spent four years as a buy-side research analyst at Mesirow Financial; she supported Mesirow’s smid value, small value and micro-cap value strategies with primary coverage of the Financials sector. Earlier, Kristan was an equity analyst at Morningstar, where she covered business services companies. Kristan holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago. She earned her MBA in finance, accounting and economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of business and a BA in economics and French from the University of Notre Dame.
